The second reading will take place September 19th at which time the Board of County Commissioners are expected to adopt the ordinance, though it would not go into effect for another 30 days. An ordinance, as opposed to a resolution, is enforceable by law and fines will be administered to violators. The public is asked to work with the county to curb the barking dog, dogs at large as well as control of potentially dangerous animals for a safe community and the protection of all domestic animals. To report an animal concern, please call Dispatch, 970-731-2160.
