David Pettus and Barbara Asprey have applied for approval of PLN23-071 the Pettus Minor Subdivision Final Plat. The purpose of this action is to subdivide their approximate forty (40) acre parcel at 1375 CR 326 into two (2) lots of approximately five (5) and 35 acres in size. The existing parcel is zoned for Agricultural Ranching.
This was originally approved on July 18, 2023. We had some neighbor complaints last month that they were never notified of the Pettus Minor Subdivision. The Planning Department could not validate that Staff followed Archuleta County Land Use Regulations regarding posted notice at the site of the Board of County Commissioners hearing. We circled back around, posted the sign and repeated the published notice, for this hearing.
This is an application for a Special Events Permit for the Archuleta County Republican Central Committee to sell Malt, Vinous and Spiritous Liquor at 344 US HWY 84 in Pagosa Springs, CO for the Archuleta GOP Lincoln Day Dinner October 21st, 2023. The Sheriff has been notified of this event. The proper fees were collected. The premises was posted for the required ten (10) days prior to the event. Staff recommends approval of this Special Event Permit.

This request is to consider a Resolution authorizing the consolidation of Lots 202 and 203 of Lake Hatcher Park, to become Lot 202X, owned by Pamela A. Black and Terry M. Black. The impact to the County budget includes fees paid per the County Fee Schedule, generally balanced by a reduction in property taxes. This consolidation has been reviewed by the Staff and is recommended for approval.
This request is to consider a Resolution authorizing the consolidation of Lots 365, 366 and 367 of the Amended Aspen Springs Subdivision No. 6, to become Lot 367X, owned by David T. Hudson and Melodie A. Hudson. The impact to the County budget includes fees paid per the County Fee Schedule, generally balanced by a reduction in property taxes. This consolidation has been reviewed by the Staff and is recommended for approval.
This request is to consider a Resolution authorizing the consolidation of Lots 376 and 377 of the Aspen Springs Subdivision No. 5, to become Lot 377X, owned by the Joan M. Mieritz Living Trust dated July 2009. The impact to the County budget includes fees paid per the County Fee Schedule, generally balanced by a reduction in property taxes. This consolidation has been reviewed by the Staff and is recommended for approval.
Pursuant to Section 3.7 of the Rodeo Grounds and Fairgrounds Joint-Use and Development Agreement adopted January 12, 2022, the Rodeo Grounds Management Committee may appoint an alternate appointee who may participate in Management Committee meetings if any of its primary appointees cannot attend a meeting. At their September meeting, the Management Committee recommended the appointment of Kendra Hittle to be the alternate county representative on the committee. This resolution is for the BoCC to appoint Kendra Hittle as the alternate county representative to the Rodeo Grounds Management Committee. Staff recommends adoption of this resolution. This letter to the Pagosa Arts Initiative advises of the sale of the 449 San Juan Street building and a termination of the Artistic Display License Agreement. The Chairman signed this letter on October 9, 2023.
This letter to the Colorado Department of Local Affairs, Division of Housing, provides the Commissioners' support for the Pagosa Springs Community Development Corporation's application to become a Community-Based Development Organization. The Chairman signed this letter on October 11, 2023.
This Quit Claim Deed assigns all right, title interest, claim and demand in the parcel located at 115 Travelers Circle in Pagosa Springs, Colorado to Frank Polacco. This tranfer is made pursuant to the auction of county owned parcels. Mr. Polacco was the highest bidder for this parcel.
This bid from CRG Construction, Inc. is to expose and repair the damaged liner at the landfill.
Pursuant to C.R.S. 19-1-105, the County Budget Officer is required to submit to the governing body a proposed budget outlining expenditures and revenues of the various spending agencies for the upcoming budget year. Documentation presented to the Board of County Commissioners at this meeting satisfies that requirement.
The State of Colorado has established the Statewide Affordable Housing Fund through the passage of Proposition 123. This fund provides grant programs for governments, developers, and non-profits to increase Affordable Housing Units. Archuleta County must submit a commitment to add 43 Affordable Housing units through new development or by converting existing housing to affordable by December 31, 2026 to make these funds available. This commitment must be submitted by November 1, 2023.
This resolution provides the commissioners opposition to the 2023 ballot question known as State Proposition HH.
This resolution designates Archuleta County as a Green Light for Veterans County and declares November 6-12, 2023, as a time to honor our Veterans by displaying green lights in home and business windows.
This is an application for a Secure Transportation Service license for Southwest Colorado Mental Health Center dba Axis Health System located at 1125 Three Springs Blvd. in Durango, Colorado. Included with this agenda item are applications for three vehicle permits for Axis Health System. In accordance with state statute and 6 CCR 1011-4, the license and permits will allow Axis Health System to provide urgent transportation services within the boundaries of Archuleta County to individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. The vehicles have passed inspection, all documentation has been properly submitted and the proper fees have been paid. Staff recommends approval of this secure transportation service license with three vehicle permits.
This purchase requisition with Mustang Extreme Environmental Services is for the purchase of a portable temporary bridge to be placed at the Pagosa Junction site.
