Consideration of a Special Events Permit for Curtains Up Pagosa

This is an application for a Special Events Permit for Curtains Up Pagosa, to sell Malt, Vinous and Spirituous Liquor at the PLPOA Club House located at 360 Sam Houston Ave, Pagosa Springs, CO 81147 for the Production of Cinderella on June 30th and July 1st, 2nd and 3rd, 2021. The Sheriff has been notified of this event. the proper fees were collected and the premises was posted for the required ten (10) days prior to today's hearing. The financial impact to the County is the fees paid per the County Fee schedule and Staff recommends approval of this Special Events Permit.

Consideration and Approval of US Forest Service Agreement for Weed Control 2021

Continuing agreement for Archuleta County to control noxious weeds on Forest Service roads in the Pagosa Ranger District. The scope of work and pay has increased from $6,000 to $12,000 this year.

Consideration and Approval of SFY 21-22 Memorandum of Understanding Colorado Works and Colorado Child Care Assistance Program

Colorado Revised Statute (C.R.S) 26-2-715 requires the Department of Human Services and 
Colorado counties to enter into an annual performance contract with each county to identify 
its duties and responsibilities in implementing the Colorado Works (CW) program and the 
Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP). This annual performance contract is in the 
form of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which is jointly signed by each county’s Board 
of County Commissioners (BOCC) and the Department's Executive Director.  Staff recommends approval of this MOU. Responsible Staff: Matthew Dodson, Director, County Dept. of Human Services.
F.

Consideration and Approval of Amendment to Contract for ACDHS Legal Services

DHS and Rachel Brock entered into a Contract for Legal Services on June 16, 2020, and it has become necessary to amend Section 4, bullet point 7 of the Contract to increase the contract amount to not exceed $72,925.00.  Staff recommends approval of this Contract Amendment.  Responsible Staff: Matt Dodson, Director County Dept. of Human Services.

Ratification of the Chairman's Signature on Letter of Support for Funding for the Durango and Archuleta County Jointly Proposed Intercity Project.

Letters were sent to Senators Bennet and Hickenlooper requesting support for the Durango and Archuleta County's jointly proposed intercity project. This project  will provide electric busses and infrastructure for both the City of Durango and Archuleta County's transit programs. Chairman Schaaf signed the letters on June 3, 2021.

Consideration and Approval of Agreement to Award Incentive to Maintain Lewis Street Apartments as Affordable Housing

This agreement with Olympus SRH provides a payment equal to the County's portion of the property taxes for 180 Lewis Street in Pagosa Springs as an incentive to maintain the ten rental units being developed at that location as affordable housing units.

Appointment To Fill The County Assessor's Vacancy

State Statute provides that the Board of County Commissioners shall be the body responsible for the appointment of an official to fill a vacancy of the unexpired term of an elected official. The current Archuleta County Assessor has submitted her letter of resignation, effective September 4, 2021 to the Board, and has recommended an individual to replace her.
