Recruitment Process & Employment Applications

Welcome to Archuleta County's job application process. The County utilizes recruitment and selection practices that are designed to employ the most qualified person for the specific position without regard to race, creed, color, gender, disability or religion. The County uses application forms that must be completed and submitted in order for an applicant to be considered. A resume may be submitted with, but not in lieu of, the application form.  False or misleading statements during the interview and or on the application form, are grounds for terminating the application process, or  termination if discovered after employment.

When advised, reasonable accommodations will be made in order for an "otherwise qualified applicant" with a disability to participate in the testing process (American’s with Disabilities Act of 1991).  Applicants who require reasonable accommodations to test should contact the Human Resources office by the close of the application process. Accommodations must be requested prior to taking the testing components. Please contact Robert Smith, Human Resources Administrator at for information.
