1. When is my ballot due in the Clerk and Recorder’s Office?

To be counted, your voted ballot must be sent or transmitted by 7:00 pm MT on the day of the election. Voted ballots must be in the hands of the Clerk and Recorder’s Office no later than the close of business on the eighth day following the day of the election.

2. What should I do if I make a mistake on, damage, or lose my ballot?

You may request information on your replacement by contacting the Archuleta County Election Office at (970) 264-8331 during regular business hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm or on election day from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

3. What can I do if there is not enough time to mail my ballot back to the Election Office?

If you feel your ballot may not be received in the Election Office at the time it is due, contact the Election Office at (970) 264-8331 for additional assistance.
