School District Looking for Substitute Teachers

Message from Commissioner Warren Brown:  As many of you know, our local School District is having some staffing challenges.  As a result of the staffing challenges, we learned through a letter written by Elementary School Principal Justin Cowan posted on January 6, 2022 that our Elementary School has temporarily moved to remote learning “Friday the 7th, until Friday the 14th.”  Please see Principal Cowan’s letter for all of the details.

Archuleta County is looking into some ways we might be able to assist our schools, children, our families and our community.  In the meantime, if you or someone you know have the talent and interest in becoming a teacher or a staff member, please take a look at the School District’s Job Openings at  https://www.mypagosaschools.com/apps/pages/index.jsp?uREC_ID=579577&type=d&pREC_ID=1072203 .

Thank you for making Archuleta County a better place to live and to work.
