Ratification of the Chairman's Signature on a Grant Award Letter for Body-Worn Cameras
The Archuleta County Sheriff's Office (ACSO) has been awarded grant funding in the amount of $60,119 from the Federal Justice Assistance Grant Program to equip all ACSO law enforcement officers with high-quality, reliable body-worn cameras so that calls for service including DUIs, domestic violence, and other investigations may be recorded, and audio and video evidence may be gathered and provided for use in court. Chairman Maez electronically signed the Grant Award Letter on August 17, 2020.

Consideration and Approval of Allocating a Portion of the CARES Act Funding to DHS
In May, 2020, Governor Polis, thru Executive Order D 2020-070, directed the disbursement of CARES funds to various entities in Colorado, including to local governments. Archuleta County was allocated $1,203,507, and through an Intergovernmental Agreement dated June 25, 2020, that amount was to be evenly split with the Town of Pagosa Springs. Each party must submit reports on the expenditures of its CARES funds, including the amount and purpose of each expenditure as required by law. The Archuleta County Department of Human Services is requesting funds in the amount of $29,500 to support the county's vulnerable populations.

Consideration and Approval of Allocating a Portion of the CARES Act Funding to the Archuleta School District 50JT
Archuleta County's share of the CARES Act funding was approximately $601,750.00. Archuleta School District 50JT is requesting funds in the amount of $4,880.42 to place Meraki outdoor Access Points at the Elementary School and Middle School Campuses to allow for students who don't have adequate internet at home to get high speed internet from a socially distanced location surrounding these two campuses.

Consideration and Confirmation of Enacting Stage 1 Fire Restrictions in Archuleta County
On May 19, 2020, the Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) adopted Resolution 2020-165 which authorized the Archuleta County Sheriff to immediately instate any fire restrictions within unincorporated Archuleta County. On August 19, 2020, Sheriff Valdez resumed Stage 1 Fire Restrictions through a press release submitted and published in The Pagosa Sun and on the county and Sheriff Department website and Facebook pages. In accordance with Resolution 2020-165, the BoCC must either confirm or rescind the said restriction.

Consideration and Approval of Proposal to Provide Construction Management Services for a Courthouse at Harman Park
Following the BoCC's direction, a Request for Qualifications/Request for Proposal ("RFQ/RFP") for construction of a new County Courthouse at Harman Park was posted on the county website, published in the Pagosa Sun and widely distributed throughout the industry. Submittals were received and two firms were selected to be interviewed. The interviews took place on Monday, August 31, 2020 and the evaluation committee is submitting their recommended proposal.
