Letter of Support for the Pagosa Rotary Community Assistance Fund, Inc.

This is a letter of support for the Pagosa Springs Rotary Community Assistance Fund, Inc. application for the Colorado Opportunity Scholarship Initiative Matching Student Scholarship Grant.

Appointment of the Airport Advisory Commission Member to Fill Remainder of Term

The Archuleta County Airport Advisory Commission has nine members with five voting members recommended by the AAC and approved by the BoCC. Each regular term of membership on the AAC shall be three years. The appointment held currently by Mrs. Deidra Fortier whom has submitted her resignation due to her permanently leaving the local area,  which leaves an appointment to fill for the remainder of her term which will expire on Dec, 31, 2020.  

After cafeful consideration of the AAC, the AAC recommends Mr. Mark Guenin to fill the remainder of Mrs. Deidra Fortier's term.

Introduction and First Reading of Ordinance No. 18-2017 regarding revisions to the Regulations of Open Burning in the Unincorporated Areas of Archuleta County

 Provided for your consideration is a revision to an existing ordinance. The original ordinance was put in place to establish parameters by which private parties are permitted to conduct open burn slash piles on private property. The primary purpose of the amendment is to establish regulations which allow for burn piles is sizes larger than originally permitted.

Consideration of the Acceptance of an Emergency Grant for The Court Security Agreement/Contract

Provided for your consideration and acceptance of the Emergency Grant for the Court Security Officer. Archuleta County has agreed to enter into a grant with the Colorado State Administrators Office for a Court Security Grant. While all court security grants are annual in nature, this one is even less predictable as it is for emergent situations. It is critical that the selected individual be aware that the funding for the position is fixed (1) one year term.

Consideration of the Acceptance of a Grant Award for the Court Security Agreement/Contract

Provided for your consideration is the acceptance of the Court Security Officer Grant. Archuleta County has agreed to enter into a grant with the Colorado State Court Administrators Office for a Court Security Grant.

LAND USE REGULATION HEARING

A.

Consideration of Resolution 2018 - 14 regarding Amendments to the Archuleta County Land Use Regulations for Vacation Rentals of Residential Dwellings

Archuleta County Development Services is proposing amendments to the Archuleta County Land Use Regulations, as recommended by the Planning Commission. The proposed changes create Section 5.5 Accommodations and Lodging Standards for short-term rentals, allows Vacation Rentals of Residential dwellings in all zoning districts, and creates an Application process and Performance Standards (PLN18-029).
