Consideration of an Agreement for Use of Skid Steer by School District

Archuleta County and the School Board have successfully shared resources in the past but would like to formalize some of our understandings. Historically, the Archuleta County Road and Bridge department has loaded gravel/salt for the School’s Maintenance and Transportation department during snow storm events. The School Board staff have expressed that since our staff is frequently attending to County needs, the delay in obtaining gravel/salt negatively impacts their ability to quickly address School related matters. As a result, a waiver that would allow trained School Board staff to use the County Skid Steer to load gravel/salt into their vehicles is being presented.

Consideration of Archuleta County/Hotline County Connection Center MOU

In 2015, the state of Colorado activated the Colorado Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline (“Hotline”) in order to provide a one, easy-to-remember toll-free phone number for individuals to use statewide to report suspected child abuse and neglect.  The hotline serves as a direct, immediate and efficient route to the counties which are responsible for accepting and responding to child abuse and neglect inquiries and reports. This Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) is developed in partnership between Hotline County Connection Center (Prowers County) and Archuleta County, with confirmation by the State of Colorado (“State”), for Prowers County to manage and administer calls to the Hotline.  Cost associated with this agreement is based on a projected number of reports for 2018 in the amount of $2,882.00.  The cost of this service has been considered and approved in the 2018 DHS budget.
